Recovering Valencia After the DANA

Fundación Naturgy and Belong To Sea launch an environmental volunteering initiative in Valencia to restore areas affected by the DANA

At Belong To Sea, we firmly believe that people can transform their surroundings when given a real opportunity to do so. That’s why, together with Fundación Naturgy, and as part of their Sumar Energías campaign, we are launching a new environmental volunteering program to support the recovery of areas affected by the recent DANA in the province of Valencia.

This initiative, designed as a family-friendly activity, will allow volunteers of all ages to take part in environmental restoration work with the technical support of Fundación Natura y Cultura.

The program will take place across six sessions in different municipalities in Valencia:

• Torrent: 23/11/2025

• Catarroja: 14/12/2025

• Alfafar: 18/01/2026

• Massanassa: 08/02/2026

• Paiporta: 29/03/2026

• Alborache: 19/04/2026

Each session will run from 10:00 to 13:00, during which participants will carry out reforestation, conditioning, and restoration tasks in natural areas affected by the storm. In addition, a climate change awareness workshop will be offered, along with dedicated spaces for volunteers to reflect and share personal experiences related to the DANA. As a special takeaway, families will receive an illustrated album created specifically for this project.

This initiative is carried out in collaboration with the local municipalities, ensuring meaningful and lasting impact in each area. Beyond restoring biodiversity, the program aims to reconnect people with nature, promote environmental awareness, and strengthen the resilience of local communities.
